英文原文: COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORDO — Four people, including the suspect, were killed in downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Saturday morning, according to the sheriff's office of El Paso County.
Local news outlet KRDO reported that a heavily armed man shot and killed a bicyclist and two women. Witnesses said the man also set the second floor of a house on fire.
Police said they received a report of a shooting about 8:45 a.m. along with a description of a suspect. They encountered the suspect at Platte Avenue and Wasatch Street, where the suspect fired multiple shots, prompting officers to return fire and kill the suspect, the sheriff's office said.
A witness to the shooting said told reporters that police shot the man "a good 20 times."
Another pedestrian, Ross Trottier, told KRDO that he was almost caught in the crossfire.
"The cop pulled up and said, 'Drop your gun,' and as soon as I heard that I got on my stomach in the median and they started shooting at each other and the bullets went over me," Trottier said.
The exact timeline of how events unfolded were not clear, however,news outlets report that a bicyclist was shot dead and a house was set on fire on Prospect Street. Two women were shot in the area E. Platte Ave. and El Paso St., with the officers taking down the suspect at Platte Avenue and Wasatch Street.

Shortly after the call, the driver rammed into the back of another vehicle carrying three passengers.
The Fiesta overturned, and the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle.
He landed on a freeway sign roughly 20 feet above the road and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles Fire Department helped patrol officers remove the body from the sign and two southbound lanes were closed for police to investigate the crash.
