【大紀元6月8日報導】（中央巴格達7日綜合外電報導）路透社引述安全和醫療消息人士報導，伊拉克首都巴格達各地今晚發生一連串汽車炸彈攻擊，造成超過60人喪生。美聯社則引述當局報導稱，一連串爆炸造成至少44人死亡和84人受傷。路透社報導說，最致命爆炸案發生在拜亞阿區（Bayaa），汽車炸彈引爆造成23人喪生，許多受害人是正在打撞球的年輕人。

美聯社報導，好戰分子今天也在動盪不安的安巴省（Anbar）闖入一所大學，挾持數百名學生和教職員為人質，促使特種部隊展開營救人質攻堅行動。

報導說，巴格達的連串炸彈攻擊，目標鎖定什葉派聚居社區，凸顯美軍撤離後一直撕裂伊拉克的激烈教派暴力衝突。

伊拉克官員說，安全部隊今天在北部大城摩蘇爾（Mosul）與好戰分子爆發激烈戰鬥，造成21名警察殉職和38名激進分子被擊斃。

警方表示，首都巴格達的第一起攻擊於今晚發生，地點在巴格達西部拜亞阿區（Baiyaa），造成9人死亡和22人受傷。其後巴格達不同地區發生7起汽車炸彈攻擊，造成至少35人喪生和62人受傷。當局表示，全部攻擊發生在一個小時期間。

【NEWS】Double Bombing at Party Office Kills 19 in Iraq

BAGHDAD (AP) — A double bombing at a Kurdish party office killed 19 people in a town northeast of Baghdad on Sunday, Iraqi officials said.

Police officials said the attack took place in the morning when a suicide bomber set off his explosive vest at the gate of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan office in Jalula, 80 miles northeast of Baghdad in the ethnically mixed Diyala province.

Minutes later, a car bomb exploded near the building as security forces arrived to inspect the scene of the first blast. Police put the death toll for both explosions at 19 killed and 65 wounded. The dead included a senior police officer and four of his bodyguards, and several houses and cars were damaged in the attack.

Hospital officials confirmed the casualty figures. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to media.

The PUK is headed by the ailing Iraqi president Jalal Talabani, who is receiving treatment in a hospital in Germany.

Sunday's attack came a day after a series of bombings and clashes left at least 73 people dead.

Iraq is currently grappling with its worst surge in violence since the sectarian bloodletting of 2006 and 2007, when the country was pushed to the brink of civil war despite the presence of tens of thousands of U.S. troops.

According to U.N. figures, 8,868 people were killed in Iraq in 2013. The U.N. mission said that May was the deadliest month so far this year, with 799 Iraqis killed in violence, including 603 civilians.

Parts of Ramadi have been held by anti-government tribesmen and insurgents since the start of the year. Overnight, gunmen fought their way past guards into the university, planting bombs.

They eventually allowed students and teaching staff to leave, but remained in control of the campus late on Saturday, exchanging fire with security forces.

A professor trapped inside the physics department told Reuters some staff who live outside Ramadi had been spending the night at the university because it was the exam period.

"We heard intense gunfire at about 4 a.m. We thought it was the security forces coming to protect us but were surprised to see they were gunmen," he said, adding: "they forced us to go inside the rooms, and now we cannot leave."
