這場大火發生在當地昨晚9點半左右，巴黎19區的一棟住宅大樓，其中的第3到第6層樓突然起火，總共有27戶受到波及，因為這棟大樓共有兩個電梯通道，助長火勢竄燒，當局獲報後，立即出動50多名消防員趕赴現場滅火，並緊急疏散大樓住戶。
目擊者表示，起火當時大樓曾傳出爆炸聲響，至於是否與起火原因相關，還有待進一步釐清。
